Mason Akers

About.

Mason Akers holds a BA in Music Composition from Western Oregon University. He is primarily a bass player and percussionist, but also dabbles in piano, guitar and mandolin. He has played in a wide variety of groups of diverse styles like Marching Bands, Drumlines, Percussion Ensembles, Big Bands, Latin Jazz ensembles, Jazz Choirs, and Rock Bands. He has been hired on to play for student recitals, high school performances, musical theatre productions, and as a drum technician for the McMinnville band “We Three” for a few tours. He is currently touring as the bass player for the popular Bluegrass group "Tuesday String Band."
