Belltower

Five players, one melody, and no two nights the same. Belltower makes original bluegrass with the improvisational nerve of a jazz combo and the plainspoken ache of a good folk song: driving rhythms, tight harmonies, and lyrics that stick.

The band came together at the University of Oregon in 2022 around songwriter Micah Primack, and still writes the way it started. A song comes to rehearsal, and five musicians find their lines in real time. Fiddle, dobro, mandolin, banjo, and bass trade the lead the way the tune asks for it. Influences run from Béla Fleck and Vassar Clements to Watchhouse and the Indigo Girls, but the sound is their own.

Since then they've taken it well beyond campus, playing Wintergrass, the Oregon Country Fair, the Sisters Folk Festival, and stages across the Pacific Northwest, while staying rooted in the Eugene scene that raised them. They host a weekly bluegrass jam and have played the Saturday Market main stage. Their NPR Tiny Desk submission put "Buck Moon Waltz" on the record, and "Oregon Rain" became their most-streamed song. The EP Cosmic Corral landed in September 2025, followed by the full-length All We Cling To.

Wherever they play, people smile, dance, and think a little.
